Welcome to our Beginning English Class!

We are a multi-level class full of energy, dedication, and drive. We study English
for real life, not just grammar, reading and writing. Having you in our class connects
us to the English world beyond the classroom doors. You are an important part of
our learning experience and more valuable than you can ever imagine.
Thank you so much for joining us!

We are adults of all ages from many different countries.
Some of us have studied English before.
Some of us speak a number of different languages.
Some of us have been in the United States for years.
Some of us are new to the country.
Some of us have never travelled before.
Some of us have never studied a foreign language before.
Some of us are academically educated professionals in our countries
Some of us didn't have the opportunity to study academically in our youth.

Some of us are brave and outgoing;
some of us are more reflective and self-conscious.
We all are visual, kinaesthetic, auditory, tactile and experiential learners.
We learn with movement and our bodies as much as with our hands and brains.
We need to speak, listen, discover, think critically, and repeat to communicate.
We love to share about our cultures, families, children, and life experiences.
We want to hear your stories.
We want to practice listening and speaking.
We want to get to know you!
Welcome!
